Territory served
In 2006, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care created Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) to plan, coordinate and fund health service providers (HSPs) in Ontario.
French language health services planning entities such as Entité 3 make recommendations to the LHINs to improve access and quality of French language services provided by the FSS.
Entity 3 serves 3 LHINs: Toronto Central LHIN, Central West LHIN and Mississauga Halton LHIN.
The Department of Health is currently reforming the health system and the geographic division of the administration of service delivery. As a result, on December 2, 2019, Ontario’s 14 LHINs were consolidated into 5 transitional regions: Northern Region, Eastern Region, Central Region, Western Region and Toronto Region.
