In 2006, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care created Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) to plan, coordinate and fund health service providers (HSPs) in Ontario.<\/p>\n

French language health services planning entities such as Entit\u00e9 3 make recommendations to the LHINs to improve access and quality of French language services provided by the FSS.<\/p>\n

Entity 3 serves 3 LHINs: Toronto Central LHIN, Central West LHIN and Mississauga Halton LHIN.<\/p>\n

The Department of Health is currently reforming the health system and the geographic division of the administration of service delivery. As a result, on December 2, 2019, Ontario’s 14 LHINs were consolidated into 5 transitional regions: Northern Region, Eastern Region, Central Region, Western Region and Toronto Region.<\/p>\n
